Dear Beloved in the Lord

It’s with great excitement that I post this letter. In the light of what Paul wrote to the Thessalonians, I felt this verse speaks so much of my heart every time I think of you as a member and visitor to CFC.

1 Thess 1:2-5 says:  ‘We give thanks to God always for all of you, constantly mentioning you in our prayers, remembering before our God and Father your work of faith and labor of love and steadfastness of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ. For we know, brothers loved by God, that He has chosen you.

Comparing our lives now to when I was a kid in the 60’s, it seems that people are far busier. Occupied with life, work, family, kids and yet amongst their busy programs also being available to serve in a ministry or be involved in some or other Christian organisation. We often hear people say, I don’t know where to get more time, a day seems too short. Well, we’re living in a busy age and time waits for no one.

Yet there is also a new focus and participation amongst our members and visitors to become involved and it seems that the urgency to say, God here I am, use me, has gone up a few levels. People have started to step up and volunteers have started laying down their lives by giving extra time and commitment to God. This is brilliant!! Most probably because we see the urgency of the Spirit of God talking to us and because there is a new and fresh expectation that if we open our mouths wide this year, God will fill them.

The rain couldn’t have come at a better time. There is an open heaven in the natural and everything craving and crying out for water in the natural is giving cries of joy, laughter and praises unto God for His abundant goodness. Even so in the Spirit there are gates opening for His church to experience a greater fullness of what He has prepared for us at a time such as this. All it requires is for us to open our mouths that He can fill them.

I encourage you with a specific prophetic Word we received whilst in Hungary last year and which has stirred my spirit in a huge way. It links up so beautifully with the scripture above.

‘God is going to restore in 2020 what the enemy has stolen and He is going to do it in a double portion. Acceleration !!! God is going to accelerate His purposes in our midst for the curse is broken and the door is open, the gate is open, the Lord has spoken’. (Joe Ewen: Antioch International)

What a brilliant word and I want to encourage you that as you serve God even with such a full plate and many responsibilities, that you will see how God opens new doors, how His provision will restore what was stolen in your life in a double way and that He chose you and me!!  This year we’ll labour for the King and we will please the King for we are laying hold of our destiny.

We love you dearly, we honour God for your faithfulness and we will keep on remembering you in our prayers.

God bless you in Jesus Name.
All our love
