2 December: CFC’s “Friends with Wisdom”

 

Project: To host CFC’s over 60s for an evening of fun.

Volunteers needed:

Hosts for the tables – 2x hosts per table.

Hosts need to do the following:

  • Decorate their own table
  • Bring cutlery and crockery
  • Cater snack platters for 6 people.
  • Host the guests and serve them throughout the evening
  • Clean up and reset the auditorium at the end of the evening

Time:

Set-up: 18:00

Event: 18:30 – 21:00

Clean up and reset plus minus extra 45 minutes

Donations needed:

  • Snack platters
  • Funds for snack platters

3 December: Immanuel Old Age Home – Okahandja

 

Project: To host a cake and tea time with games and a message of encouragement. Make and serve lunch for the residents of Immanuel Old Age Home.

 

Volunteers needed:

Foodies to do the following:

  • Prepare food and deliver it to the old age home in Okahandja.
  • Keep the food warm until lunch time.

 

Hosts to do the following:

  • Host cake and tea time
  • Play games such as Bingo
  • Do a craft activity
  • Hand out gifts
  • Serve lunch
  • Clean up and pack away 

Everyone is responsible for their own transport.

Time: 

Arrive in Okahandja 10:00

Serve lunch at 12:00

Clean-up and pack up and leave by 13:00

  • Cake for morning tea
  • Gift bags (18 ladies, 24 men)
    • Body lotion
    • Body soap
    • Toothbrush and toothpaste
    • Deodourant
    • Shampoo and conditioner
    • Cookies and sweets
  •  Groceries bags (42 bags)

    • Mieliemeel,
    • Pasta or rice
    • Soup mixes
    • Oil
    • Drink-o-pop
    • Powdered milk
    • Self-raising flour

Lunch menu:

Main meal: Chicken in gravy served with garden vegetables with white sauce(carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, potatoes), pumpkin fritters and spiced rice.

Dessert: Malva pudding & custard.
