Live Well, Love Well Part 1
Live Well, Love Well Part 2
I greet you in the lovely Name of Jesus our Lord and Saviour and I trust that you have had a wonderful and well rested holiday.
As we start this new year, I find myself thinking of how Jesus might have started off His new year during His time in ministry. I can’t help wondering whether He also thought about the challenges that awaited Him or wondering about the thoughts He might have had and questions He wanted God to answer for Him before He started His new year. I wonder if He had a new year’s resolution like we often have. “What will my year be like, Father?” could also have been on His mind as He prayed.
Whilst planning and praying to make 2023 a memorable and unique year, we are also aware of the fact that life will throw many things at us during this year and therefore we need to focus even more on holding onto God. Jesus trusted the Father with His life and by obedience He lived every day, one day at a time. He even declared in Matt 6:34 “So never worry about tomorrow, because tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”
No matter what Jesus might have pondered on regarding His new year or the things He might have had to face, His trust was in His Father. As Jesus might have done, may I encourage you to have the same approach to 2023 and be someone with boldness, who, with me can declare the following:
Jer 17:7 “Blessed am I for I trust in the LORD, my trust is in the LORD.
Jer 17:8 I am like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for my leaves remain green, and I am not anxious in the year of drought, for I do not cease to bear fruit.”
Heb 13:5 My way of life will be without the love of money, for I will be content with such things as I have, for He has said, “Not at all will I leave you, not at all will I forsake you, never!!”
Heb 13:6 so I boldly say, “The Lord is my helper, and I will not hear what man shall do to me.”
Psa 23:6 So why would I fear the future? For your goodness and kindness pursue me all the days of my life.
Friends, God promises to keep us in this year and as the Spirit of God rests on us, it’s my prayer for every person reading my letter that you will see the goodness of God this year.
May I encourage you to do what your hand finds to do and may this year, 2023, be a year where each one of us will Live Well and Love Well.
May your life turn out to be an extraordinary journey this year. My prayer for you is that in every way, in every corner of your life and every house and every conversation you find yourself in, you will Live Well and Love Well.
I bless you with everything you need to have an abundant life with an outflow of God’s goodness so that every person who comes in contact with you this year will taste and will see that God is good.
Have a brilliant 2023.
We love you dearly.
