Dear Family and Friends
1 I lift up my eyes to the hills.
From where does my help come?
2 My help comes from the LORD,
who made heaven and earth.
3 He will not let your foot be moved;
he who keeps you will not slumber.
4 Behold, he who keeps Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.
5 The Lord is your keeper;
the Lord is your shade on your right hand.
Psalm 121:1-5
What an amazing surety God is giving us. He will never be caught sleeping over us. As a matter of fact, He is standing right there next to you as your keeper. In the Spirit, His presence casts a shadow on your and my right hand. How close can He really come to you and me? WOW! I so often wish I had the ability to see things like this in the natural.
Well with all that said, what I really want to encourage you with is the thought that irrespective of what you’re going through and no matter how hard life throws things your way, God is saying to you today: “Believe it with all your heart, for I’m your keeper and shade at your right side. I’m awake to help and assist you, to support you in whichever way you may need Me. All you have to do is lift up your eyes and look up at Me!”
It is so common today for our default reaction, during hardships and trials, to be to look down. We hope to find a good brother or sister or Samaritan who will come to our rescue. Yet God says to us to look up because He is right next to us.
Over the next few weeks, we are going to look at how we can walk in Godly confidence by taking God up on His promises so that we can have better relationships and walk with boldness and motivated by compassion.
What an exciting few months lie ahead of us and I want to invite you to come with us on this journey. Invite your friends to join you when you visit our CFC family on a Sunday or when you listen to the sermons here on our website. Let us give Living Well and Loving Well our best shot.
May God prosper you in every way and bless you with what He knows you need so that your life may be full.
Remember to look up. He is ready to be your keeper and shade Who never sleeps.
