In recent months, we have been diving deeper into God’s Word and having wholesome discussions on what it means to Live Well and Love Well.
If we look at Jesus’ life and who He was, I don’t think there would be any scenario or situation where He would not encourage us to live well and love well. Living and loving well is not about what people around us are up to or what we think is expected of us in a situation. Living well and loving well does not depend on external factors.
It is about who Christ is in us. It is not about what we have or what we do. It is about being completely dependent on our Father in Heaven and adopting a lifestyle of surrender and obedience to His Word – not just the occasional act of compassion or mercy – but a lifestyle.
Consider the word live – we don’t occasionally live. We are living until the day we die. It is a continuous process. Consider the word love – I don’t occasionally love my family and my wife. (yes, they occasionally frustrate me…😉) but I love them continuously.
So, when we say live well, love well – it is an ongoing process and not just an occasional event. The key is to remember that you are not alone. He has given us the Holy Spirit, Who is with us and who is there to help, guide, teach, discipline, comfort, support, send and use us.
Let us be inspired by the following scripture – let it be a starting point for you if you are unsure of what changes you need to make in your lifestyle to live well and love well.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.
Galatians 5:22-25
Be encouraged friends. Keep in step with the Holy Spirit and let your lifestyle speak of who Christ is in you.
God bless. We love you dearly.
